The 2009 PSOA cards depict the Police Memorial Statue at Montgomery and Henderson Streets. We have found that too few of our members are aware of the history of this Memorial so we have posted a history lesson written by Lieutenant Richard W. Kist (Ret). (Click on the Police Statue tab to the left.)
An attempt was made by Lieutenant Kist in 1993 to have the Memorial moved to the front of City Hall with a granite base inscribed with the names of the Officers that laid down their life for the residents of this City.
